Syria: Earthquake Update - five months on
Here is the latest video update from our partners on the ground in Aleppo:
Five months since the earthquake struck, life is still incredibly hard for many families in Syria. The media crews may have gone but, thanks to your generous donations to our appeal, our partners are still there (and will be for the long term), helping those who have lost so much in the disaster.
With the funds from your donations, today our partners are supporting families still living in temporary accommodation and helping with the slow process of repairing their badly damaged homes. They are still giving out food parcels, hygiene kits and monetary support to those who have lost their jobs and no longer have a means to support themselves. And they are providing psychological care to help the many who are struggling with the trauma of losing their loved ones and having themselves suffered – sometimes lifechanging – injuries.
