WHISTLEBLOWING
EMBRACE WHISTLEBLOWING POLICY
Embrace is committed to fostering a culture of openness, honesty and accountability. Therefore, it is important that if someone discovers information that they believe shows serious malpractice or wrongdoing by a member of Embrace staff or representatives, that they can report those concerns internally without fear of victimisation or reprisal.
Examples of the type of malpractice or wrongdoing that should be reported are as follows (however this is not an exhaustive list):
· Criminal offences (including fraud)
· Breaches of legal obligations (including negligence)
· Miscarriages of justice
· Endangerment of the health and safety of any person or the environment
· The deliberate concealment of any malpractice
If there is evidence that malpractice or wrongdoing will occur, but has not yet occurred, this can also be reported through our ‘whistleblowing’ report mechanism.
Embrace will investigate all incidents and reports in confidence and in line with its Public Interest Disclosure Policy.
What to do if you have a concern:

Support in doing this can be accessed through the independent charity Protect on 020 3117 2520 between 9am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, or through their website.
If you are not a member of staff or other professional linked to Embrace and you wish to raise a concern please contact our safeguarding officers via our Supporter Experience team on 01494 897950 or via email.
