OUR SYRIA PARTNERS
OUR WORK IN SYRIA
Embrace supports Christians in Syria as they run projects bringing healthcare, social support and humanitarian supplies to communities in desperate need.
The Syria crisis is one of the biggest and most complex globally - the scale, severity and complexity of humanitarian needs remains extensive. The civil war, which began in 2011, created more than 5½ million refugees and displaced a further 6 million Syrians inside their own country. The economic impact of the conflict and sanctions have been enormous. The earthquake of 6 February 2023 caused further devastation to communities already in crisis.
Arwa and her husband have faced unimaginable hardships since the earthquake in February 2023 damaged their home in Aleppo. They describe how the church has supported them - and share their hopes and fears for the future.
